Dear Customers and Friends, the Summer is almost here and the construction at Bourbon BBQ is heating up. The framing took a little longer due to the weather and all the angles in the structural and roof members but it's all done now. The interior atrium space is looking great and we are hoping to have the roofing started this week. Once the slab is poured next week, the interior walls will only take a couple of days to put into place.
We received a conditional County approval for the site, just waiting to finalize very minor administrative details. We expect to start all the site work in about 3 weeks. This will include new curbs, sidewalks, pavers, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, new sign and a flag pole.
At this point we have the expected re-opening date as July 31st but it depends on many things to go just right. We will update the date as we get closer. There is a countdown clock to the Grand Re-opening at www.bourbonbbq.com . Stop by and check on our progress!
- Bourbon BBQ just signed a 5 year contract with Green Restaurant Association and will be going through the process to become the first Restaurant in Bergen County to be certified as "Green". Here is the Earth Day article with Bourbon BBQ mentioned as a "Green" candidate.

Here is Traditional Turkey recipe from our friends at Traeger Grills:
INGREDIENTS
- 1 fresh or frozen thawed turkey (15 lbs.)
- 3-4 tbsp. Bourbon BBQ Rub or other Rub
- 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
PREPARATION
Wipe turkey surface and cavity with wet paper towels, discard towels. Lightly rub oil over the surface and cavity of the turkey. Sprinkle a light coating of Traeger Chicken Rub on the surface and in the cavity of turkey. Start grill on smoke with lid open until fire is established (about 5 minutes). Switch to “medium” or 300 degrees on the digital thermostat. Place turkey on the center of the grill, close lid and cook for 3 ½ to 4 hours or until internal meat temperature is 160 to 165 degrees in the thickest part of the breast. Allow to rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
Optional: Place turkey in a foil roasting pan to collect the juice to make great gravy.
